This just in from the Department of Insane Justification

Pat Robertson declares Jihad on Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez

to stop his country from becoming "a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism." link

Way to stomp out extremism, Pat. Keep up the good work, brother.

This Week in God

The Daily Show mentions what I thought was the most fucked up thing Pat Robertson had said in awhile. Can't wait to see what Jon, Stephen and gang have to report on Robertson's latest comments.

Today he says he was misinterpreted. That there are other ways "to take him out" like kidnapping. Wait, what? Instead of committing a serious crime, troops commit a less serious one. Sort of.

Yeah, his claims are pretty weak. From sfgate today:

But a video of Monday's telecast shows that Robertson's exact words were: "You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war, and I don't think any oil shipments will stop."

But maybe the AP misinterpreted the word "assassination." Hey, word that contains that much ass can't be bad, right?

The Daily Show delivers as promised:

Iraq Strategy
Pat Sounds

Makes me even more inclined to become a Pastafarian. Or at least try to win me a million $$$.

Otto, you're a Doctor de la Filosofia (graduated cum laude from that Oaxaca correspondence school, didn't ya?). Get on this.
